My long distance boyfriend is giving me Silent treatment?

I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 1.5 years now. 17 days ago we had an argument and my boyfriend retreated into silent treatment. I have tried to contact him and also send him messages but no response from him. Am undergoing through an emotional torture and i don't know what to do. He was my best friend and we had a great time before we even started dating. We were good friends for 2 years before we even started going out. Does this mean our relationship is over? before that he had done this twice but 2 days being the longest.

Thanks for your responses, he has not yet responded and i even don't know what else to think, or i should just let it go and focus on meeting new people. The argument was about him calling late at night than the usual time

He got really angry and promised to call the next day which he didn't, earlier i told him if he is not going to call then he should consider the r/ship is over. Is that what he is still holding to? I have appologized many times and i didn't mean.

He still has not called or responded to me in any way but he sent my school fees, now i even feel more confused, why would he send my school fees if he wants nothing to do with me

I understand if he's angry, but how long has he not contacted you now? Weeks of emotional torture is cruel and immature, especially since this is a long distance relationship. The silent treatment is a big no no when the both of you have more than enough time apart!

I suggest sending him an email telling him you consider this relationship over. If he still hasn't responded in two days then that's that. Gather what's left of you and try to meet new people. I'm sorry you have to go through something like this.

Thanks very much for your comment, its now 20 days to be exact since this begun. Hopefully i get over this, sincerely am finding it hard to move on because he was my best friend too

It'll be hard for sure...but 20 days is too long, that's almost a month. If he was your best friend he would know that what he's doing is hurtful and would want to stop it. He obviously thinks otherwise. =/

That sounds like a very childish move. Confront him about it. Either he grows up or you're over. Unless the argument was so bad you deserved this, I don't know.

Now the way to confront him is the problem, we are in a long distance relationship, what is even astonishing is that he is not answering his friend's call too. The argument wasn't bad compared to the previous ones we have had. He also came to my city but never called or came to my house, he only sent a text saying "I will not be able to pass by the house" as cold as it was!!

That is not the way to treat someone you love. If you don't have his respect, then you don't have much. As hard as it may be, you should leave him if this keeps happening, because you can't live like this, torturing yourself.
