I am addicted to my guy friend?

I feel like I have got addicted to my guy friend. I can't stop thinking about him at all. He talks to me daily, and when if we don't talk, it makes me cause daydream about him. I am dreaming about him almost every day since last one year. If I think about never being able to talk to him, it makes me cry like a baby. Talking to him makes my day! And I really really love seeing him happy. But I don't want a relationship with him. I think our lifestyles are too different. I don't know why I feel like this.

Have you considered therapy? I do not mean it in a derogatory way. You are admitting to having a rather unsettling thought pattern. I would advise you to tell him that you do not want a relationship with him. Just to avoid any hurt feelings later.

We both know we don't anything with each other more than friendship, and that's why it is getting hard on my part.

Just the thought about relationships make me really sick. That's why I always turn down other guys as well. And now, because of my friend, I can't even try to date other guys because I always compare them to him and they fall short of what I share with him.

He is single, but has been hurt in the past. I don't want to get into a relationship, feel like I can't handle the pressure and then end up breaking his heart. He has already been through so much that another hit like that might be hard on him.

I do. I am always reading novels and all. But he still is in the back of my mind. I try to keep myself busy but being really good friends, we talk to each other for hours till late at night. I can't cut down time with him. I have other friends, but he is closest to me.

He is pretty rich so spend his time partying and clubbing. He sometimes drink and smoke weed as well. On the other hand, I am the nerdy type who sits at home and read novels. I never drink or smoke. So, you know, we both have different lifestyles, so I don't think he would ever like a girl like me.

That's the confusing part. When you have a crush, you want a relationship with that person. I don't want a relationship with him, but I don't want to lose him to another girl either. Ugh.
