He's not my Boyfriend but he's acting like he is, wtf?

i'm so p*ssed, I just want to know if I have any right to be. there was this guy I was interested in a while ago so I took action and we started partying together, then sleeping together and now we hang out as friends too, we even spent valentines day together. we had a cute little evening in and sealed the deal with sober sex at the end.

but does that in some unspoken world mean that we're all of a sudden dating now?

i made plans to meet up with this other guy tonight at bar, him and his friends and me and mine. the guy I spent valentines day with flipped out and is ignoring me now.

i get that we have more than just a friendship but I never agreed to anything exclusive, nor did we talk about anything monogamous.

i'm p*ssed that he's p*ssed that I still have other guys in my life. how do I confront him? what do I say? is there some way to fix all this? or is he just being a giant baby?

I think a lot of people would say that it does... but I think anyone with relationship experience knows that there's gotta be some sort of consensus between the both of you to classify it as a real relationship.

But you are being really insensitive. You should have made it clear from the beginning, the VERY beginning, that you were going to be seeing other guys. You led him on... if he had no idea that this would be coming. It would be a pretty big blow to anyone, and he clearly has some pretty strong feelings for you.

There's no easy way to confront him, but just say "we need to talk" and depending on how you feel about this guy, just tell him exactly what you expect from him. Do you want a relationship, do you not want one, etc. and see what he says. The key is being honest, and it might be hard but things will get better soon after.

You should have been more clear with him in the beginning. Obviously he thought you were both in a relationship. In fact, I would have too. So I don't blame the guy.

So while you are correct. Logically, you never did agree to a relationship, your actions are a different matter. Valentines is for couples, and you spent the day together. If you want to be treated with casualness and open minded respect, then I'd suggest you'd do the same thing and make yourself more clear and transparent with who your hanging out with.

If you go out together, sleep together, and spent valentines day together I would consider that a relationship. He has every right to be angry with you.

Unless you explicitly told him you weren't interested in a long term relationship before pursuing him, you were leading him on.
