Giving a gift to a girl I like?

there's this girl I like and I want to give her this gift that I would think she would like (nothing expensive, something I already have). We talked before and she said she liked me as well, but that she also had some interests in some other guys as well. From talking with her I know she still had feelings for her ex, but since I talk to him as well I know that they won't be friends anytime soon. And she has this crush on this other guy who she never talked to before. So would it be a good idea to give her a gift to show my appreciation of her and to use that as a way to ask her on a date?

If you really want to pursue this girl, I'd get two tickets to a local musical that's in town and basically turn it into a date. Show tickets are kind of expensive, but girls really love this stuff. You then pair it with a dinner. Normally, I'd go for a hipster restaurant, but that's also kind of expensive so I recommend something ethnic like find a Vietnamese pho place. A bowl of pho can go for as low as $6 in some cities and it's huge while being a very accessible flavor to even the white trashiest of palates.

Hipster restaurant dinners and a musical equates to a lot of first-date-sex and while I don't think that this will happen for you two, I do think that it would be a date experience that most guys are not likely to match.

because women dont like men for what they can do for them they like men that they like movies. cars shoes purses etc will only help you but for so long if you want a girl you ask her out yourself with no perks your a sweet deal so you dont bribe or persuade someone into going any where with you just like you won't beg someone to take your money ask her out if she says no tough break move on if she says yes then have fun

See, BigFlynn12 is the exact reason why it's such a good idea. BigFlynn12 has the classic male attitude -- he doesn't spend a dime on his women nor does it he take the time to plan out dates or what not. His whole game is women will either like him or won't -- take it or leave it. But what he doesn't know is he's also what women always complain about. I've never been taken out on a date. I just go over to his place and watch him and his friends play video games. He picks me up and asks me "What do you want to do?". And the men who do plan out dates or put forth an effort? He denigrates them saying that women only like them for their money. Listen, is it a sure thing? Of course not. You could take her out, she has a great time, and she ends up giving a BJ to her crush at some party who then swiftly kicks her to the curb. But you know, that's the game and I've never believed in waiting on the sidelines.

Not a physical gift, set up a date. Don't call it a date, but set something up and show her what life with you would be like. If you want to go cheap you say "Hey, have you ever had pho?" and hopefully she hasn't (or she has and really loves it) and you set up a trip to a pho restaurant. Or thai or something. Something that gives her an experience because most of your competition is going to do none of that.
