Why doesn't my boyfriend initiate hanging out with me?

When we were first going out he would always ask what my plans were for the weekend so we could hangout but now he barely initiates contact. He works a pretty intense job so we usually hangout during the weekend because during the week he and I are pretty busy. When it comes to him asking me to hangout, it hardly happens, I am the one who makes it happen now. When I do come over he doesn't act like he doesn't want me to be there though, he's always happy to see me and he does love me. I don't know what to do. Maybe he likes his alone time a lot?

maybe u guys r just starting to grow apart. or maybe ur relationship is established enough to where its comfy to not see each other all the time. but its weird that he doesn't seem to want anything from u. thats probably something u guys need to talk about.

Here are my thoughts from a relationship coaching lens. You teach people how to treatment you and in this case, by you being the constant initiator, he doesn't need to initiate--you're already doing it.

Agreed^ back off a bit , see if he initiates it , I'm sure he will sooner or later but one person can't be doing all the work

how about you do mini hangouts
like small outings not taking more than an hour to a nearby place or something
the point is that you make plans catering to your busy routine
