IS MY ARMY BOYFRIEND CHEATING ON ME?

I've been with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years now. And we've had our fair share of ups and downs. He recently joined the army last year April and he cheated on me around that time and we worked through it a bit and he said he wouldn't do it again. It was hard trusting him again when he left because I couldn't see what he was doing. Anyway we wrote letters to each other and everything seemed to be going well. Then he came back for Christmas break and I decided to got through this phone and I saw messages with him and another girl. Apparently they were dating while they we in AIT. So I contacted the girl and told her that she could have him and he was upset and he begged and begged that he was gonna change and wouldn't do it again. And he promised he would never contact her again it even speak to her and he would never cheat on me again. After that we've been going good he got stationed in a different state and he actually never contacted this girl again. So recently Luke 2 weeks ago we got into an argument a stupid one and we weren't talking for a couple days. Then I decided to squash the issue that we had and go back to how we were. But lately he's been texting me differently. It hasn't been the same, he would usually text me cute good morning text and I don't get that anymore. I honestly can't tell the last time that he's told me that he love me. And it's breaking my heart because I don't know if he changed and it is dealing with someone or something I don't know what the issue is. So any advice would be good right now
