Why do I have trust issues?

My Boyfriend and I are together since 4 1/2 years now. I know that he loves me. But sometimes I check his phone, his insta, FB... to know, that he doesn't write anyone else. Especially women.
3 years ago he was still writing his ex and send intimate pics to her.. I left him. But one year later he decided to re-established contact.
We made a promise, to talk openly and honestly about our feelings. So we still do.

We don't live together, so I have no controle over, what he's doing when we're separate for a few days. I always get a little jealous, even if he talks about woman..

So why am I that crazy to find somthing, that would hurt me?
Do I just worry too much about the past?

Either u continue on the relationship or end it. A broken trust is hard to fix but not impossible. First of all, don’t look at his phone (although it might seem tempting) it’s a violation of his privacy. And about trusting issues is either u forgive and forget and start afresh or just end it.
I him talking about other girls makes you feel jealous perhaps you should talk to him like u said be honest with your feelings but don’t talk as if he should not talk about other girls but More like how it makes you feel.

We had a talk about the phone and the privacy. I wouldn't care if he would look in mine because I have nothing to hide from him. but why want to keep something secret, when there is nothing to hide? U know what I mean?

If it is obvious that he is trying to hide from you who he is texting like for example if your with him and you notice that he makes sure that you couldn’t glance at your phone.. that’s a huge red flag there. There is a high chance that he is falling back to the old habit

Right, its in the past... you don't have any control over him nor should we... If he has cheated like contacting his ex before and sending intimate pictures that broke your trust.. that cannot be re-established I'm sorry but that's one thing that's a problem

First of all Ask your self do you really love him? If you, you don't judge him like checking his phone... To create trust in your relationship Talk to him about this...

insecurities have nothing to do with it... He's exchanged stuff that shouldn't have been exchanged while being together, even if it was the first time. He broke her trust 100% she wants to trust him again but, she thinks he will message her and send those pictures again

The only insecure I have is to be replaceable. He isn't my First Boyfriend but absolutely my first Love.
I really want to trust him.
So I hope he has learned from his mistakes..
