I'm falling in love with my ex again. What should I do?

Basically, we haven't spoken in over a year. Recently, me and my boyfriend broke up (2 months ago) and a few weeks ago I received a text from my late ex *Tom. I still had some of his stuff and so he came round for it. We talked for an hour. I said sorry and we shook hands and he said he missed me. We agreed to friendship. He then asked for us to meet up for a catch up and so we did. It was great and he's changed and is so independent now, he's really living life. He's still just as gorgeous. We flirted a little too. We've met up again and I've realized I'm falling for him again. He's so different, so mature and independent now. I'm really enjoying his company.

My recent ex found out were talking again and he went all weird and acted insulted and hostile.

Anyway, I'm falling for him really badly again. He's like my best friend when we hang out too.

What should I do?

Should I ask him on a sort of date?
