Communication is key as I found out in my relationship, as I found out the longer you leave it and the more you think about it the worse it gets. You need to talk about it with a relaxed mind if you go expecting a fight that is most likely going to happen just keep an open mind and talk slowly about it with him in a serious but non-aggressive manner, meet at a café or something, somewhere public were you'll have to keep your cool and you'll both be more likely to not raise your voice which can escalate things. Hopefully in this situation things should be settled in a relaxed manner.
