Why won't my boyfriend get rid of his ex?

My boyfriend and I have been best friends for two years and just recently started dating. We have always had feelings for each other but lived four hours away so decided to just stay friends. in the fall of 2010 he started dating another girl which hurt, but I had to pretend I was happy for him, we still remained close friends until they broke up in December. We started talking even more, and more until we finally decided we needed a weekend together to sort everything out, I hoped on a bus the next morning to see him. After having a great weekend we knew it was meant to be. He's been my best friend for so long the connection we have is incredible. A week later he told me he loved me and we have been happy ever since. The only problem is he won't get rid of his ex! Knowing he has hurt me once with her I was weary of them being friends on Facebook since that's how he and I met (through a mutual friend on facebook),. Her being able to see our life together creeps me out. He also has poems and pictures of them together that he won't get rid of. I'm not the jealous type but something just strikes me the wrong way with her, even after asking him if he would mind getting rid of stuff because it bothered me he made a big stink about it. I ask him what his attachment is to her, he claims there is none and he couldn't be happier or more in love with me, why do I still feel like he won't let her go? If there is no attachment why won't he get rid of her and her stuff?

i find it weird when people are in relationships they still have contact with there ex. How long did he start dating you after he broke up with his ex. He could still have feeling. Best way is to sit down and talk to him. Tell him I don't feel comfortable that your talking to your ex. If he doesn't stop you know exactly where you stand in his life and personally I would drop him. My ex did the same and deleted her ex's but went back to them after we broke up.

theres a good chance he still has feelings for her, but that doesn't mean he loves yu less, he may even be a packrat. talk to him if he can't change them

He is not over her. So, if disappointment comes knocking just don't be too shocked. People who really love you will compromise, and care about your feelings. If he can't compromise his actions for your feelings, it just sounds like its because he is not over it.
