I told my boyfriend I love him and he said he doesn't hate me?

So, I know I did a lot of shit to him and I'm trying my best to make it up to him.
Tonight we had a discussion and I told him how much I love him.
He just turned to me and said "I don't hate you".
Should I feel that bad? This really hurts, I don't know if he meant it as a reassurance, but answering to "I love you" that way...

I actually believe he does love you but is incapable of saying the words. As you stated, You hurt him... so he is probably thinking, where was this love when u hurt me? He doesn't want to tell u it back bc u may not deserve it yet.
