I slapped my husband, am I a violent person? Should I get help?

My husband and I got into a heated argument, where he yelled at me that he's sorry the Army life isn't a cup of tea and that he knows I sucked a lot of Airforce dick (which I have never done, I'm not a slut) and that I need to get over it because this is the Army and not the airforce where I was sucking dick.

I lost it. I slapped him across the face. This is the second time something like this has happened. He said that I'm abusive, maybe I am. I don't let anyone talk to me that way, not my husband, not an enemy, no one. He threatened to leave me. Should I go get help?

Well he should. I mean if he slapped you in the mouth twice, what would be the response? The fact is he didn't get physical with you so you have no right to make it physical. Maybe he is an asshole for what he said, but again that doesn't give you permission to make it physical (unless you think its fine for him to hit you in the face when you say something that pisses him off?). Yes you need to get help, and you two need to work on your marriage, see a councilor and what have you (military is hard, its a lot of time away from family, its dangerous etc. so it puts strain on the individual and their relationships so its pretty important to see a councilor).
