If ONE is the LONELIEST number, why do people ony want one wife?

A recent GaG poll Guys, how many wives do you want? found that most people only want one wife.  Why is that? If one is the loneliest number, like the song says.

Obviously, it is because two divided by love can only be one, and one is a lonely number. Two divided by love can only be sad, can only hurt one another. But one wife is easy to keep track of. That way, every breath she takes, and every move she makes, every bond she breaks, every step she takes, you can be watching her. Because nothing says "love" like stalking someone.

But maybe it's true that I can't live without you. And maybe two is better than one.
But there's so much time to figure out the rest of my life, and you've already got me coming undone.

ONE could be considered as LONELY but still anything more than right amount or less than right amount always harms. The number of partners are same. Less than one is bad more than one is also bad and harmful. ONE is the right number for having a partner in someone's life. It's like Sword and Scabbard. There is space of only one there. The empty Scabbard is also useless and if we try to fit two swords in one scabbard it will tear it off. So there are sometimes ONE is the right number for something.

They only want one wife because one wife is cheaper and less dramatic than more wives. And I guess the guy assumes he will still be allowed to have a social life outside of the marriage.

Well, i guess if you look at wives like some people do pets, and worry that one will get lonely when you’re at work. Then two wives will be better than one.
Personally, i want zero wives. I’m not tryna give away everything i own and work myself into the grave so that one or more women don’t have to adult for the rest of theirs. Ell oh ell!

Cuz women are complicated fickle beings and if you truly love the wife you will invest to "know" her. But since they are such a difficult puzzle to figure out, you can barely keep up with just 1.

Yeah, you can dominate more than one. Yeah, you can have sex with multiple. Yeah, you can do all sorts of things with multiple women.
But to "truly know" a woman in order to treat her well, ONE will keep you busy for the rest of your life.

Hm. Don't ask me. I either didn't feel loved or i felt underloved. Therefore i think of getting as many wives as it takes to keep me felt loved constantly.
