Boyfriend doesn’t approve of my birthday outfit? What should I do?

It’s my birthday coming up and I wanted to go out with my girls this weekend. I wanted to wear this dress where it is v-cut, has a split & the back is out. I wanted to show my boyfriend it beforehand and he was not okay with it one bit. I was trying to show him I can use boob tape take to make sure the v cut was covered more. But most of my dresses are backless and aren’t that long or if they’re long they have split because I usually like having my legs out in general. (Most of my jeans are ripped, that’s just me) He said nothing with the back out or too short. I tried to talk to him and get him to explain why no backless or anything out to see where he’s coming from and he said this isn’t a conversation. So we got off the phone because he didn’t want to talk anymore on the phone. Even my friends in a relationship are saying I should wear the dress because I usually never go out and it’s my birthday. But I’m still very conflicted and not sure what to do.

My boyfriend goes to parties every weekend & drink & smoke. This is my first time going to the club :/. He’s literally my first anything lmao I don’t drink unless I’m with him & I don’t smoke. He has to work then is going out with his friends. I already brought up us hanging out :/ no need to assume I’m just being a slut everywhere.

Why is it okay for him to go wild out all the time but when I want to go out to the bar for the first time I’m the problem?
