I think it is a Generation Z thing, born 1997-2015, but not so much a Millennial thing. For Gen Z, they are totally fine with being virgins, and more power to them. My generation, it was like if you are in your 20's and haven't had sex, it's like something is "wrong" with you!
For the Millennials, in between, I think some go both ways. Some have friends getting married, and having children, and I think that some might be ashamed, or feel something bad, being mid-late 20's, or even in their 30's and still being a virgin.
Society can be cruel, and all the movies, and media make so many, men and women feel like there is something wrong with them, if they haven't had sex by some age, and aren't married, by another age, and then having kids!
I think it is bullshit, and everyone chooses who they are, and what they like and don't like!
A few, have the confidence to say, and not care what people think, rather than just get imprisoned in the social norm that so many submit to!
Who, at 27, in this society, is going to lie, and say she is a virgin?

That depends entirely on her behavior, if her behavior tells me she is impulsive, sexual, or what have you then I would not believe it. If she had behaviors that show she is shy, reserved or what have you, then yes I would believe it.
