Are most guys really “supporting” equal rights among genders?

Question

To find out if your boyfriend is really supporting equal rights. Ask him this question “what do you think of women choosing to grow out their body hair and not shaving?” If he’s fine with it (not disgusted or grossed out) even though his preferences is either natural or shaved he’s a keeper.

If he says they should die or it’s disgusting or unnatural that’s when you know that he really isn’t a supporter of women of having equal rights as men, therefore if your views and his views are completely different breaking up is the best option.
Women should be allowed a CHOICE to do what they want with their bodies, not made into ways that is only acceptable to most men or society. People don’t understand that what’s it’s like to not have a choice to be someone who they really want. I don’t think men will understand the struggles women go through.

Like they had to pay more for things like shampoo, etc. Unequal pay, they’re more likely than men to get harassed or rape or exploited. I’m not forcing all women to ditch the razors or other hair removal products just to let them know that they can do what they want. Be it shaved or unshaven. I find that for men they have a CHOICE to do what they want and society doesn’t give a damn or there’s no shaming done. When women are allowed a choice shaming happens if you get what I mean. I’m not saying that women should be more superior than men we should be considered as equals. I’m quite happy that my country is open to equal rights in the future though it may take time to make it happen

I believe a woman absolutely positively beyond all question has the right to do whatever she wants with her body, including not shaving.

That being said, I believe anyone absolutely positively beyond all question has the right to find it unattractive to whatever degree, including being grossed out by it.

You can't have it both ways.

As for reading your comments, asker, if a man leaves the house with facial hair looking like Tom Hanks from Cast Away or Gimli from the Lord of the Rings, rest assured he will very likely be judged by it by men and women alike.

As for the wage gap, it absolutely exists, but almost certainly not for the reasons you probably think.

I acknowledge it is difficult to be a woman. I acknowledge that women should be equal to men under the law. I acknowledge that being a woman brings with it a slew of issues that must be addressed, and my heart is broken thinking about the possibility that my girl students could be hurt or harassed. But I also acknowledge and heartbroken that my boy students also have a slew of issues that need to be addressed, too.

No, most guys, like most girls, push for continued female supremacy in terms of rights. Public acceptance, however, is NOT a right. You, along with every other woman out there, HAVE the right to grow out your body hair- no one will stop you. People will dislike it, and think less of you for it- THEY have THAT right.

"Rights" are things that you can't legally be prevented from doing; advocating that people LOSE the right to feel a certain way about your actions is calling for less rights, not more.

These days the women who grow body hair have as much virtue as Marquis de Safe.

As for women's right, they will deserve them when they can understand what rights and responsibilities mean. As it stands they don't even deserve to vote.

This is one of the silliest statements I've read on here. No one is stopping women from grooming. You already HAVE the right not to groom yourself. And society has the right to judge you for it. It's not all peaches a creme following every gender role expected for a man. And when we violate them, guess what YOU women and society judge us for it.
