If he had a vasectomy done why is he lying to women that want kids?

We've been dating for 2 years and he seemed like a normal guy. He kept promising about a future and kids. Then just recently this November he was going to ask me to move in with him.

I don't know if destiny worked in my favor but my parents and I got infected the day before Thanksgiving Day (mild symptoms though) so I we had to quarantine for 14 days. Fast-forward to mid December, I find out through one of his former ex girlfriend that he already had a vasectomy done before and it's not the first time he lied to girls about wanting a family. He wants girls to move in, lied about wanting kids and never telling them he can't have kids.

Needless to say I broke up. I find that cruel. Why isn't he with other women that don't want a family? Why is he lying to us? Why is he wasting our time? That's 2 years of time waste I'll never get back. 2 YEARS.

What an asshat, sorry you wasted time on a POS like that. Have no idea why someone would string someone along like that.
Unless he had it in his head he could have it reversed on the sly. If that was thr case, he's still a Dick, and a stupid one at that, reversals are not that successful and depending on how long its been almost guaranteed not to be successful.
Regardless of any of that its just such a horrible thing to do to someone. And as you say if he didn't want children why not go after women who don't want children either, its almost like he get some kind of pleasure out of being sadistic.

Make sure you ask him, not his ex. Exes can be resentful and spread lies about someone.
If it is true then it is really messed up of him. Still, ask him, not his ex.

You do know that vasectomies can be reversed right? Sounds more like he is taking responsibility for his reproductive system in not wanting to risk getting someone pregnant until he is ready to be a father.

So I'm suppose to wait until there is a possible reversal, wait till ''he's ready'' and let him continue lying and wasting my time. What if I'm ready to have kids in 1-2 years and he were not ready yet? I'm suppose to continue wait for him to ''be ready''?

I am so sorry to hear this. What a terrible thing to do to someone who wants to have a child. My husband had a vasectomy after our second child, but we both knew and planned for it.

The weird thing is I was actually having second thoughts about moving in with him. I thought his offer was sweet but somehow I wasn't very convinced and was thinking of whether I should move in or not.
