I like this question… I’ve had little “puppy love” relationships when I was younger, the word “love” was an exaggeration of our feelings. I had 2 serious relationships with people who I have loved dearly and was truly heartbroken when things ended. I am in love with my boyfriend currently.
I'm like you. I've been in infatuation quite a few times but I've only been in actual love twice.
Once was with an amazing woman named Petra who I grew to love with my heart and soul. She also loved me. I was 37 and she was 31. She had had a rough childhood, then gotten married briefly in her teens and had a son. But she had pulled herself up to become a remarkable woman. We virtually lived together for over a year. We had to separate for reasons that are complicated but had nothing to do with cheating or anything mean. I was an absolute mess for at least a year after our separation.
I met my future wife a couple years later. We've been married now for over 25 years and I love her deeply.
Twenty years after the last time I had spoken to Petra, she contacted me on Facebook and we even spoke a few times on the phone. She had moved out of state and never remarried. I was so glad to be in touch with her and to know that she was happy and pursuing her dreams. Then, about five years later, I read that she had passed away from a sudden medical problem at age 56. I was devastated. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal. I will always love her and will never forget her. My gratitude for the time we had together overflows.
I have been in love three times, but they were three different kinds of "in love". My first true love I experienced when I was in my early 20's and I fantasized about who the guy was and tried to make him fit into that notion... for the most part, he did live up to the romanticized image I held of him, but the ways in which he fell short were poignant enough to, eventually, end the relationship. We lived together for 5 years. The next guy was almost the same, but not exactly less 'intense', but I was a little older and by the I realized that no relationship is a storybook fantasy, with no real-life messiness! By then I knew that I was not defined by my love for this young man. We both had our own lives and that made living with him a bit easier than with my first love. I lived with him for a number of years - followed him up to school, where we split up. My last love, was not the father of my daughter - as much as I thought I loved him... and I did in my own way... I was not in love. He was emotionally distant and verbally (and sometimes, physically) abusive. I lived with him until 2 years after my daughter was born. I met him out-of-state & moved there til I came back home at 27. My husband of 31 years was my soul mate. He is and will be my last love. He is not alive anymore - he passed before his time. He saved me - my life and my soul. By this time there was NO fantasy... we slogged through lots of "REAL" life. Problems and occurrences that I never believed a couple could help each other get through! I am a lucky woman. There are plenty of people who never find their best friend in their love. He's waiting for me, so he can nag me for eternity! haha
I’ve LOVED many but I’ve been IN LOVE with few. I believe 3-5 times. “In love” is something thats very powerful, rare and usually longterm. You have this feeling like you almost dont mind doing something crazy like eloping or dying for the person. Its kinda a toxic thing especially if they dont love you the exact same. But because it was toxic, i think it truly may have just been once but I don't know i feel like i truly was in love with all 5. And 5 is a very small number compared to how many people i dated or loved but never reached that “in love” stage

There may be a few momentaries I've forgotten about. And others I just had a crush on.
Depends on someone's definition. But assuming that's even possible to be in, I believe I've only been in lust. It's partly why I'm the equivelent of a "mgtow monk." I don't wish to be in relationships because I don't know if I can love someone like how a romantic person/a person with different beliefs & values could.
Oh and don't trust the Wikipedia definition what mgtow is.

And then there can be various reasons why. But the most common reasons aren't fueled by misogy.
For me personally, it's fueled by the lack of values to add more complication to my life. Especially since I have certain conditions that are already difficult to deal with while single.
I believe that there are definitely mgtows out there that are misogynistic. But they don't represent the majority. The majority of mgtows are just hurt older men that don't want anything to do with:
• Living with a spouse • Having kids with any woman • Or getting married/getting the government involved
But since the extreme side tends to be so vocal, that's what people focus on. Kinda like with incels. Most of the really upset incels are sub5's. But most incels are normies. However, since the sub5's are so vocal about their situation & typically have very extreme views due to the nature of their attractiveness levels, people tend to focus on that & attribute it to the entirety.
It's possible for me to fall in love 5 10 15 times a day but to be in deep deep love all the way to my inner core if people were honest they would say the same thing it's like I love chocolate pie I love cheesecake I love a lot of things people I love people there are girls on Gag your answer their questions every day and one day you will see them and you will just go my God you are beautiful and I could fall in love with that girl is so easy Love's very easy thing to do from passionate love to unconditional love to Commitment love just because somebody says I love you does it mean that they can't love somebody else because it's so easy know if you're talking about the one you're going to marry you have to not only love her but she has to be your best friend there's over five hundred different types of love and when I love somebody I love them with every single one of those loves but just to say love somebody that's just one love that's easy they'll put all five hundred of them together it see how badass that is that is beautiful
I honestly don’t believe I have ever been in love for real with an actual person. I have been in love with the idea of a person and certainly in lust on multiple occasions. But the deepest love I feel is for people I do not love romantically. I don’t know what’s wrong with me really. I know what love is, but it feels like an echo or a memory that I am trying to recreate? I’m in love with something at that moment, but then it’s like smoke that clears after a brilliant fire and suddenly I’m standing in nothing but filthy ashes. I’m seriously nutty.

2nd time was while university... not that we met in person but online besties n always thought to meet... very deeply i fell for her n got rejected n things never remained same n eventually stopped talking

I've been in love many, many times if you take into consideration the many and varied types of love & what inspires them. In love romantically? Twice. In love with my perfect, precious newborn daughter? I've fallen in love with her countless times. In love with those special things that you've just been drawn to, like a magnet? Things like a sport, a spiritual path or a calling like working with animals. In love with the projected perfection in a person that only existed in your mind? Sadly, once, but I will say that it's a bit more understandable since I was 12.
Not really love but crush you can say. My first crush was my classmate in 3rd grade haha. I was so immature that time same with him. It's good that I have changed my school. Now he can't bully me. I don't know why I had crush on someone arrogant and rude. If love you say then I have fallen in love with 7 people. They are Music, My garden, Pillow, paper, pen, food and myself 😊.

It was never hard for me to get into serious relationships before (I’ve had 2) and three people in total have said the magic ‘I love you words’ but I just don’t get feelings for people easily. Saying that I still talk to this one guy but it’s unlikely to work out due to circumstances beyond our control
Twice for me. Once back when i was in my teens. I was head over heals in love with this girl. I idolised the ground she walked on.. If it were possible I would have stopped time for her. She ultimately ripped my heart out and trounced on it when I caught her at it with my best friend (ex best friend). Since then, I've only ever let one other person in, and that's who I'm with now. Took a LONG time to find her, but I'm pleased I did.

I have had two relationships where I fell in love badly. Only trouble is, she felt it, but not as deeply.
I felt like I was in love with 1 girl I was too scared to ask out, and in love with 1 girl I dated whom I am no longer in a relationship with. I also fancied myself in love with a boy when I was a teen, but later realized I just liked the idea of being in a relationship and picked him solely because he was there, so we're not going to count him.
I've had like 5-6 puppy love relationships, and 2 love ones. But it was the last love one that was the best of all, even though it didn't work out in the end.

almost 2 times. this one girl I had to slow down because I knew it wouldn't work out at the time I meet her. now are just friends. other girl was my first love. I didn't get a chance, nothing at all. I was really stubborn, it hurt me a lot. now I have move on form that and forget what happened with her.
Well like you say was it true love or infatuation or puppy love? I think I've experienced them all at different times in my life. I was in love and proposed to the woman I thought I'd be with for the rest of my life. That is until I came home early and found her in my bed with some random dude. I kicked them both out of my house and haven't been with a woman since.
I don’t have a definite answer. Maybe once. I sound like an a-hole when I say that, but I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with anyone besides one person.. and it also took me a long time to realize that. That was not something I woke up everyday knowing
I would probably say zero. I have felt lust and a need to not feel alone and that has driven the relationships I have been in, including my marriage (which is not a happy one). I imagine real love as something else - encompassing physical attraction but also friendship and a deep sense of connection - and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that.
I ‘fall in love’ very easily. With friends, animals and romantic interests. In that I feel depth of emotion very quickly. I’ve ‘loved’ deeply, a romantic partner 3 times.
I don't think I've ever been in love. There have been times when I thought I was, but then you grow up and mature and realize those feelings probably weren't love at all.
