Recently, my boyfriend has been really busy with family and friends and work and trying to buy a house, and I get it... to an extent. I've been trying to be patient, but he only sees me once a week, and that makes me feel like he only makes an effort to see me when he wants sex/ wants a warm body to cuddle up to.
My mom is paranoid that he's lost interest or that he's hiding someone else, but his ex cheated on him compulsively, so I can't see him doing that since he knows how painful it is to be cheated on... though I'm starting to believe that his lack of time to spend with a partner could be one of the reasons she ended up doing that.
I feel quite lonely in my relationship lately, and I bet she probably did too, not that there is any excuse for cheating. He often does extra work to help out his coworkers because he feels bad that they have kids... from my perspective, however, they kind of seem to take advantage of him. His family also expects him to drop everything and do stuff for them a lot, and he pretty much always does it. He never seems to say no to anyone but me.
I know he is very successful, and he is focusing on building his career, but I'm used to men being desperate to see me any chance they get! Meanwhile, he was tired from work, so he napped and chilled at home all day when he said he would see me on Monday. He's super affectionate when we are together, he loves making plans for the future with me, and he loves "showing me off" to his friends/ family, but if I don't get more attention/time soon I'm worried that I'm going to lose interest.
I know it's immature, but I get super lonely and a bit bitter because I chose him over all these other men who would be THRILLED to spend time with me. I want him to spend time with his friends and help out his family but I feel neglected. I told him this and he apologized and thanked me for telling him... but nothing changed. :(
How can I make him crave more time with me?
