I voted yes. I wish there would have been a "sometimes" option as that is the most fitting and true response. Sometimes, yes, they will return. Sometimes, people just need some time to themselves. They need time and space to sort their mind out. Sometimes, during this alone time, they absolutely find that separation was not the right choice and they want to try to go back to the lover they parted ways from. Now, with that being said, sometimes if that happens, the lover may already been gone. They may have already moved forward. They may have a new partner. In that situation, you just have to cut your losses and also move forward and find a new partner. Accept that you made a mistake and move forward.

Sometimes, lovers do NOT come back. Sometimes, they ask for time/space and during that time, they discover that they want something else. They discover that the partner they left was not the right fit for them. They find that someone else may fit into their long-term plans and goals better than the old partner. That can be VERY hard when you are the partner who got left. You may have been happy and seen no issue. But if your partner was no longer happy and decided they wanted something else, then there isn't a lot you can do except accept the situation for what it is, allow yourself to heal and move forward in your life.

Anyone asking for space doesn't truly love the other person. Now if they’re asking for some alone time for some hours thats fine. But anyone asking to take a break or something is questioning your future together (or totally done with you) and not truly in love. If they were truly in love, they’d communicate and talk things over rather than leave. Also, you can love someone and still want to leave them. Loving someone is not the same as being in love with them

They usually do if you give them time and distance. People usually come back if you no longer show them attention, especially in romantic situations. It is just the way it is. If you show them attention and affection, that can drive them further away.
