Girls, I’m going away with my girlfriend and 2 friends (both girls)… and just wondering if people think my girlfriend and I should “abstain” whilst away?

We are all 18 and all in relationships and are going away to a house with only us in. What do people think? Would you feel awkward? It would only be in our bedroom so the other two wouldn't be there. Thanks in advance.

Of course you should abstain to get intoxicated during this time with your girlfriend and her friends.

Nobody really likes to see a person that loses total control of himself. It is not a pretty sight and furthermore, you are certainly not doing yourself a favor by lying in your vomit and having the others clean after your mess.

Either you go together to have a good time but my understanding of having a good time is not to get drunk while the others are confined to their rooms.

Personally, I would not go on holidays with 3 representatives of the opposite gender as it may be misunderstood.

Why don't you and your girlfriend go by yourselves and you can probably enjoy the time together better than if you have to log around 2 other friends. Good luck.

Not much of this makes sense to me. However, to address the question, why is anything awkward? You have your own room. They have theirs. What’s the problem?

I don’t see why any of it should be awkward or confusing. Just leave them be and I am sure they will do the same. That simple.

To worry over relations in private is not really a big deal. You are in private. If you’d like to abstain from intimacy out of respect for the other guests, do so. If not, whatever. Not like they should be barging into your room if they have any sort of manners.
