This is will sound hypocritical and I know I am a piece of shit I know but I have changed..
When my boyfriend and I were dating for a few months, I messed up bad and cheated by messaging a guy from a different country on Facebook. I wasn't going to have sex with him, we didn’t talk about sex, but it was emotional cheating. At that time a lot of bad stuff was going on but that’s no excuse. I also felt at that point like my boyfriend was not truly into me and just wanted sex, but that’s just me. he barely kissed or touched me and I felt unloved. He caught me, dumped me and called his ex but she didn’t wanna talk. Then after a day or so he said he will forgive me if I promise to never do it again. I apologized and promised. He said he forgives me.
Then a year or more later, maybe two years later, I was in the car with him, he asked me to put on a song and gave me his phone, I went to do it and I saw Tinder on his phone. he had a profile with his picture and a fake name. He had messaged a girl and said something like “I like weed and sex” and maybe something else. She did not respond to him. There weren’t really other messages as far as I know. His profile was pretty bare. When I saw the Tinder, he was mad at me for looking at his phone. He was freaking out demanding his phone back.
He said he did it to get revenge for what I did and I said I wasn’t going to have sex with him and you said you forgave me. He says he was not going to have sex with anyone and that it was for revenge but I said how is it for revenge if I didn’t even know you had a tinder and you didn’t want me to know? He said if the girl had responded he was going to screenshot and show me to get revenge.
I keep wondering if he was planning to have sex with someone else or if he did.
I want to fix things but we both have trust issues and I can’t get over the Tinder. I keep thinking if she had responded then he might have slept with her.
