Is My Poem Cringeworthy?

So, I am going on a date for the first time in almost seven years soon. Normally I write fiction/sci-fi, yadda yadda... The woman I am interested in recently told me that she used to write poetry from the top of her head and I wanted to write her something decent to show I care.

For backstory: we have been friends for a while and she is recently single. This is a whole new side of her I am meddling with and she seems to be willing to give it a shot.
So, is the following cringe-worthy or presentable? Please help:

Your words are as cool as Autumn's embrace
Actions riddled with Winter's playful antics
Knowledge of you wraps around my mind, yet I must save face
For you may never understand my true romantics

Truly you are as kind as you say
With mind and body full of zeal
How can one such as you ever feel dismayed
For in this life, to me, you seem so unreal

Love for you I may not yet know
But my mind is filled with many thoughts bright and aglow

As poetry goes, that is pretty darn good! However don't just present her with it.. See how the evening goes and if all goes well? Right before you say goodnight, that's when you hit her with it!

You're welcome and thank you for best answer... I forgot to explain WHY to save it until the end of the evening.. Poetry has the best effect when the girl is alone and it is fresh in her memory.

*nods respectfully* poetry has never been my forte. I could build her a world of fantasy without issue, yet I have always respected how clear and concise a well-delivered poem could be. Thank you for your candor.

I’m simple rhyme guy. I’m not good at doing real poems. I think people are more like me though…especially until they get to know other people and their skill set. “I was thinking about if written out in card so girl understands.” 😉

Well, I may not have presented myself correctly. This isn't something I'm going to drop on my first date with her. We have known each other for almost a year now and are close friends. I am writing this as an "if the time is right" sort of thing, but with her saying yes to a first date I want to get my ducks in a row and make sure I don't stick my proverbial foot in my mouth when the time comes.
