We broke up a while ago, but my boyfriend still texting me. I don't want to block him because he talks quite politely, what should I do now?
There could a few reasons he is still doing this. The most obvious one is he still is in love with you. But there can be other reasons as well. Maybe he feels comfortable seeing you as a friend or he’s hurt a something and he wants closure. Either way if you want him to stop you need to TELL him to stop. If he keeps going after you made that clear than you have a different problem on your hands. But until then you did need to communicate where you stand.
I confess I was “that ex” once. I wasn’t trying to get her back. Rather I wanted closure about something very nasty she said to me. In fact it was one the nastiest insults I had ever taken from a woman in my life. I just couldn’t accept what she said and walk away. I didn’t want to believe it was real.
Anyway it wasn’t like I could call her up and yell at her. But I was trying to get a dialogue going to get to that point. She never told me to stop contacting her and usually responded with short messages. We even arranged a phone call one time but it was like talking to a robot. I finally sent her a very carefully written email about the real reason I kept messaging her for a long time. I got my hurt out but also forgave her. Never spoke her again after that.
On surface I know was getting judged for continue to contact her. But the story went deeper than that. In hindsight I wish I never contacted her EXCEPT for the letter. The letter was truth.

Tell him that you two broke up for a reason and that you're good with those reasons, and you don't want to revisit it at this time. That you're not interested in a friendship at this point, and you want space. If anything changes, you will let him know, because you have his number.
Then if he does not respect that I would ignore his text and block him. Sometimes you just have to be grownup about it, and buck up.
you broke up. you refer to him as your ex. then you call him your boyfriend. you're still in constant contact with him. did he not get the memo? just tell him to leave you alone, you two broke up. it's best to be honest or he'll never get the clue.

How to Tell Your Ex to Stop Texting You?
It's not always easy to tell your ex to stop texting you. Sometimes, you might not even want to. But if you're getting texts from your ex that you don't want, or that is making you feel uncomfortable, it's important to speak up.
Here are some tips on how to tell your ex to stop texting you:
1. Be direct.
The best way to tell your ex to stop texting you is to be direct. Simply tell them that you don't want to receive any more texts from them. This can be done in a polite way, or in a more assertive way, depending on your relationship with your ex and how they are responding to your request.
2. Be firm.
If your ex doesn't stop texting you after you've asked them to, it's important to be firm. Let them know that you're not going to tolerate this behavior and that they need to stop immediately.
3. Ignore them.
If your ex continues to text you despite your requests for them to stop, you can always try ignoring them. This might be difficult, especially if you still have feelings for them, but it's often the best way to get them to stop.
4. Block them.
If ignoring your ex doesn't work, or if you don't feel like you can do it, you can always block their number. This will stop them from being able to text you altogether.
5. Get a restraining order.
In extreme cases, you may need to get a restraining order to keep your ex away from you. This should only be done as a last resort, but it's important to know that it's an option if you're feeling unsafe.
Telling your ex to stop texting you can be difficult, but it's important to do what's best for you. Be direct, be firm, and be prepared to take action if necessary.

Your ex is texting you non-stop because they are hoping to reignite the spark between the two of you. They may be feeling nostalgic about the good times you had together and are hoping to rekindle that flame.

He’s an ex. Tell him it’s over and stop contacting you so both of you can move on.
You girls are so fucking weird about blocking. "I don't want to look like I care", "Blocking is immature" blah blah. Then they turn around and gripe about some ex texting them, or watching their stupid stories. Makes no sense.
If he is being so polite then what do you want?"Look you piece of shit. Take every offense you can to this, but I want nothing to do with your scummy ass. Any further attempts to contact me will be construed as harassment and/or stalking and will result in police reports and any subsequent consequences. Have a nice life, but do not try to bring me back into it. Bye."
Just tell him, you don't want to text him anymore. Just that. That should mean he should not expect a reply from you.
Please don't ghost him. Just be straight up honest. Trust me, he'll appreciate your full honesty, over ghosting or lies.
"Hey, such and so, I appreciate your desire to stay in touch, but I want to move on from our relationship and staying in regular contact is making that difficult. Please stop texting me so much."
Well, step one would be to stop referring to him as your "boyfriend".
If it’s over cut all contact with him for at least 2 months and don’t refer to him as your boyfriend
Tell him in one text that you don't want him to contact you and if he still does it, block him anyway. Because that way you politely asked him to stop.
Best thing to do is to just ignore them.. do not answer/reply back. Because if you do your just making him think he has a chance that you do want to talk/text him
When people repeatedly don't get the hint / boundaries, after having clearly explained them, I just stop responding.
Tell him you appreciate him being polite but you don’t wanna talk anymore and to stop texting you or you will block him
"Thanks for reaching out, but I need some space to move forward after our break up"
Don’t send any. Completely ignore text, calls, and emails. They’ll eventually stop
Send him a Picture if You with another man That will surely Piss him off and maybe he will go away
You’re still interested in them. Someone who’s no longer interested in someone else they will block that person.
Tell him please don't text me any longer. I have moved on and you should too. Thank you.
perhaps you failed to provide the closure a relationship should provide
What was he saying to you that offended you?
None. Just block the number.
No text or just block him.
