It's raining cats and dogs in my city right now, so I thought I'd ask a simple common question related to rain to get your thoughts on the topic.
Why is rain always connected to romance? Where did the idea even come from? Like where did it all begin? Or maybe I'm just thinking too much into it lol, but you can't deny all the evidence that points towards it either. Why is that?
Whenever it rains, people seem to get in a romantic mood and there's almost always a couple seen making out or dancing, or both, in the rain. The media shows it too.
Anyways, just thought it was a fun question to ask lol.
Our ancestors personified the Earth as a female deity. And water, like Poseidon, was typically male. So, when he rains upon her, he is nurturing and filler her, just the way love fills our souls and gives birth to a new version of ourselves. Aphrodite herself was born from the water.
For me when it rains it just kinda creates a cozy ambience especially when you’re just chilling at home, listening to the sound of the rain drops, all cuddled up with your S. O. for warmth.
