If you asked them, but they say they want you in their life. However, at times, it's as though they're pushing you away and don't have a place in their life for you. What's the best way to deal with this situation?
Unfortunately, asking them does not always get a valid and truthful answer. They may not know, lie to themselves, or lie to you. And sometimes it's just inappropriate.
You can control your actions though.
Decide for yourself what they are worth to you. Is it with putting up with a tenuous relationship that is causing you pain or making you nervous?
Perhaps it's better to take a step backwards and away from them to protect yourself.
If you've already had a talk about it, then it's probably time to move on, especially if you feel some sort of distance or if things are shallow now
