"I don't smoke at all. I was raised in a family of smokers and I was always sick from the secondhand smoke. I drink only at social events which is once or twice a year. But I honestly feel like a total bore around friends and family." 🍸

Smoking and drinking isn't a personality trait. If a guy thinks it makes you boring I'd question if he has a personality beyond getting drunk tbh. Nothing wrong with enjoying mind altering substances but not using them doesn't make a person boring. Also many guys don't smoke and don't drink or only in moderation.

I don't smoke but I don't mind other stuff. It can be fun getting drunk together once in a while but there's so many other things to enjoy together. I also perfectly get along with people who don't and don't think they're boring for that. I know people who drink and are boring af. There's other factors that make people boring than this.

Also smoking is a bloody waste of money, unhealthy, smells bad in the case of regular cigarettes and is annoying af when you wanna do something where smoking regularly isn't possible. And it doesn't even get you high or anything unless you really go overboard.

Im not a smoker but I did go to a hookah lounge and did hookah for fun. It was nice while it lasted but the next day I was so sick. I dont know if it was from thr smoke or us sharing/puff passing the hookah. After that i didn't do that again. And second hand cigarette smoke gets me sick. Drinks are special occasion.

No, a drink is just a pretext to hang in a safe neutral place though, so even if you don't drink alcohol, at least have a virgin cocktail, soda or even water if you must.

When a says let's go for a drink, it makes women look like a dumbass when they say ooooh I don't drink.

If you want my attention then pull up your big girl panties and just fuckin say so lol.

As for smoking I really dislike it. Barely tolerable even in moderation, and chain smoking is pretty much a deal-breaker.

I oppose smoking entirely. I did it as a teen but stopped at age 22. Never been a pot user. However, I am of Irish extraction with a few drops of Cherokee from some time after the Civil War. I suppose those are my three drops.

I have been drinking a little Bourbon or Gin most days after maybe age 20. My SO is gotten to like Bourbon as well. She's not boring.

Who cares what 'most guys' think! Each to his own. Simple mind, simple pleasures. Interesting vs boring is a very subjective thing.

Personally I don't drink or smoke as they don't interest me. They are both bad for your health and for your wallet. I have a dozen hobbies and skills though. Surely having common interests, shared hobbies, and the ability to have deep conversation about big ideas matters more than trivial pleasures that don't make anyone stand out from the hoi polloi?

Ah well.. personally I'm pretty big on vaping and I smoke whatever others have in social situations so my opinion probably doesn't mean a whole lot, but I wouldn't view it that way. I'd look at it like I'm happy she's making better choices that I am in regards to her health. Because being alcohol free and tobacco free are really good things.

Alcohol though I'm not a fan of so we'd be similar in that regard lol

I mean some might thinks your a bore but I don’t smoke at all and of the majority of the people I have hung around that did smoke only one to maybe three where proud of their smoking habit. The rest highly respected me for not smoking. And I do drink but I have family who are alcoholics and I understand the choice of not drinking except on special occasions. So I wouldn’t be worried about anyone thinking your a bore.

A girl who can’t handle her alcohol is very annoying. They just stumble all over the place while pretending to be classy. Doesn’t seem like she’s aware she’s making herself a laughing stock.

If she chooses not to drink, that is respectable too.

No not necessarily. I mean at my age now I would be fine w a girl who didn’t drink. When I was younger I drank a lot but I gave that all up except for a drink once in a while like maybe 2-3 times a years. Not in excess either. Maybe a shot of tequila but that’s about it. Even when I was younger it didn’t bother me that some of the girls I knew didn’t drink.
