Guys, im so confused. And silent on the matter. Yesterday was National Girlfriend day I guess (I honestly had no idea) and my boyfriend surprised me at my apartment door with a bouquet of flowers and a balloon inside the bouquet with the statement, “I Love You.” This wasn’t a pre made bouquet he just grabbed without thinking, I know for a fact because I know the grocery store he bought it from like the back of my hand. The balloon is sold separately. A little bit about us, i had a crush on him for a total of 9 months before I finally confessed, he reciprocated and ever since we’ve been exclusive for 5 months. We spend just about every weekend together and we’re at least solidified until October when we’re to attend a concert together. 😅 A few more details, my guy is ADHD and also is a bit quiet i think when it comes to talking about his feelings, I feel like I have to get him alone and initiate a seance with him if I want to get him to open up.
Example: one time while I was holding him in my arms after a confusing moment we both shared, he went silent then I felt something wet on my arms, I lifted his face and sure enough he was crying, like dead silent, not a single sniffle, sob, or tremble. How the bouquet and balloon scene unfolded:
When he handed me this bouquet, my eyes immediately went to the balloon to read what it said.
When I saw that it said “I Love You”, he was too busy talking and i, not being very vocal when I’m confused, gestured at the balloon with a doe like expression on my face. I was happy but I didn’t say I Love You too, instead a noise came out of me like “aw” while he continued talking, as if he didn’t notice the balloon.
The thing that has me so messed up by it is that he hasn’t actually said the words to me yet. So am I reading into this too much? Did he just tell me in a way he loves me?
