in order for me to ask properly you need a little bit of back round, me f 13 and Kaylee f 13 were best friends throughout 6th grade and mostly through 7th until we got in an argument. Fast forward like 4 months i'm best friends with her boyfriend bill and she was dating him. Me and bill were on a call and i had to leave to go to sleep, we both say goodnight and i go into bed. A few minutes later i get a text from bill and i open it. The text read "i really like this girl". We have talked about his crushes before so i ask "Lindsay?". He says "No, she's really pretty and kind." we continue to talk about it for a while and he then says "I really like you. Its you." me not thinking about his girlfriend i say "I like you too". and i went to sleep. the next few days he acted like nothing happened and at one point I asked him directly wtf was going on. he pretended to be confused so i moved on with it. Ever since then its been bugging me. After all this i don't like him anymore. so do I tell his girlfriend?

Secrets are terrible. They hurt people and they usually come out sooner or later. The sooner it comes out the better. I would tell her. It sucks but she deserves to know. If I were her, I’d want to know. That way she can talk to him and probably break up with him before she gets too involved. The sooner she knows who he really is, the easier the recovery from the heartbreak.

This makes total sense the only issue is that she hates me and probably wouldn't believe me and then tell her boyfriend and then i wouldn't have a best friend anymore.

Show her the text. Be honest. Just explain,” I care about you as my friend. I want you to know the truth. I would hope if the roles were reversed, that you would do the same for me. I’m not not trying to hurt you. I’m telling you so you don’t get hurt in the long run”

Well y'all gotta clear the air at some point as well tho, weither you want to tell your friend or not is your choice but I think you and him should clear the air and you should mention his girlfriend so he is aware of what he said and he has some choices to make on his own
