I have OCD. How do I keep from stalking?

In high school, the first time I fell HARD for someone, I ended up stalking her. We were friends before, and we rekindled the friendship after I got over it. Anyways, since then I was diagnosed with OCD, which explained why I was compelled to do that, but it hadn’t been an issue since.

I’m living on campus now, and I see all the signs of the compulsion beginning. What do I do?

Ruminant OCD, the form I was diagnosed with (truly just a differential diagnosis that fits), can and will cause larger actions, as opposed to the typical OCD.

you might have OCD...

you might be a stalker...

but your OCD does not make you stalk people... it is just your stalker side, making you stalk on people

if anything, your OCD could make your stalker side to stalk people in a certain way, for example... only on odd days, or even days... or certain times of the day or night lmao, or it could make you count how many steps does it take you to go from your house to your preferred stalking bush, and you would definitely have a very serious freak out episode, if someone took away that bush

but no, your OCD is not causing the stalking, I do not think so... lol

I can understand how someone with OCD might not be able to stop having uncontrollable thoughts about someone, but your actions are your own. This doesn't justify or explain away your bad behavior.

I have never heard of anyone with ocd stalking anyone.
