My girlfriend is poor?

Every time we go grocery shopping or something she goes “r u paying or am I paying?” Like she doesn’t want to pay for food cause she has bills and stuff. Makes me feel bad for saying no cause she’s helped me so much so ok just go okay I’ll pay. But I’m from a dif country so the currency fucks me up. I spent almost 1100 in less than 8 hours in my country’s currency. I feel like I’m settling and need a richer person. I don’t like grocery shopping cause every time we go I feel like I have to pay. She comes from a broke family and I don't know what to do?

No offense but if she’s asking who’s paying and you put it on yourself each time out of guilt then that’s on you. It doesn’t matter if you’re with her or someone with more money, you have to use your voice and advocate for yourself because if it’s not one thing it will be another. You could find a solution with your girlfriend, like maybe it’s you and her splitting food costs, or taking turns paying. I don't know, but being reluctant to speak up will screw you over no matter who it’s with.
