hi all! this is one of the saddest days of my life. I have rescued a lovely affectionate two months female kitten left abandoned at a construction site especially because workers there warned me that they were instructed to kill it soon. I managed to save it and bring it home with me after a visit to the vet and we spent an amazing two weeks time frame, however, having helping her socializing, feeding her she gained 20pounds, training her to use her litter box and sleep at night when lights shut down it’s time to rehome her to a permanent home as i’m travelling all the time due to work and i’m an expand that might be moving to a new country soon and thus not able to offer her permanent home. My heart is breaking and I haven’t stopped crying ever since a lady came forward that was actively looking to adopt and has genuine love for cats as her cat died recently and she wanted to adopt again. I don’t know how i’m gonna do that, I see her pictures on my phone and can't stop the tears. She became my bestie in just few days and we got attached to each other as I live in a studio apartment and so we are together all the time. I have already made the decision also for her best as she won’t be alone and continue to receiving heart and affection. So i’m looking for advices to navigate the emotions not to convince me otherwise. I’m just heartbroken 💔

I put all my business trips on hold so i can devote attention and make sure miu miu is ready to be rehomed. Its so hard just the idea that i’m gonna wake up tomorrow and she won’t be there 🥹 the lady that will take her will be sending pics and next month i’m meeting miu miu again as will escord the new owner and kitten to the vet to inform them on the transition and ask to be in the loop regarding her health. Tried to find comfort at my boyfriend but he’s more worried if I love the kitten more.
Superb Opinion
There is no easy way to get over it except knowing that the kitten is going to a good home. I've had cats and dogs all my life and I hate seeing them go. I'm a basket case every time I have to put one down. Maybe when you move and get settled you might consider adopting another cat to ease the pain
