My boyfriend and I have been together for close to 4 years. He hasn’t been the best at communicating from calls/texts but he does try and has gotten better with it over the years. We met in undergrad and since we both graduated, we went back to our respective homes which is 3 hours away from each other. Recently though, he hasn’t chatted much with me since his workplace drains him a lot. I am also drained since I’m in graduate school now as well so the convos doesn’t go far but it’s the thought that counts.

There has been a couple of times where he didn’t text me the whole day, I’d have to contact his parents to at least know he’s okay since it gives me anxiety, and they usually let me know within 15 minutes if he’s fine. Today, he hasn’t texted at all, I called him, and even texted his parents. It’s been hours and no one has responded yet still. I’m not sure what to do and I’m worried he might’ve cheated on me due to the distance or something. What do you think?

So u are in a long distance relationship, how to keep in touch for ldr couple like u? Text and call.. cuz there's no way y'all just meet up each other once a day right.. we know he's not really good at text or call, but if he love u, he doesn't want to lose u or keep his mind busy to always thinking of u, it might be bugging him and he will keep in touch w u.. thats how ldr supposed to.. u better call him whenever he have a free time and discuss this

You are seemingly emotionally bombarding your man from a frenzy of insecurity related to his frequency of Contact. Often boys confide in Mom when GRL stuff is beyond our knowledge or Why. You, however, text the parents directly... SO, the Parents are thinking one of the two things above.
I have done grad school as well and a once or twice a month Counselor sit-down can be good. They had some on staff where I was enrolled. You may want to make that a priority for yourself?
