My ex boyfriend told me he lost feelings for me but the first time we met after break up it was so hard on him so did he really loose feelings?

Even after 8-9 months of breaking up when he sees me he stares at me, reminds me of my things that he sees and my laugh and how he’s hearing it after so long. He compliments on me too. He touches my head in an adoring way too. He asks about my friends. He tells to his friends when he gets reminded of me. He still has my chat pinned on top. He also says he’s moved on but it doesn’t seem like it when he does all this.

He broke up because he’s figuring out life and didn’t want me to suffer whilst he’s figuring out life cause he thinks I’m used to a lifestyle that he’s not used to and it got him scared eventhough I did everything to make him feel okay.
So do you really think it’s true he said he lost feelings because I don’t see it when I see him? Will he come back?
