Do you think that people cheat because they been hurt and taking it out on other people?

No honestly, I think 90% of people are not like that. Of course, it happens, but I really don't think most people think like that. And for those that do, probably deserved to be cheated on in the first place, because it takes a special type of person to think that way to begin with. Meaning they were probably never good people to start with.

People cheat because they're selfish. Everything else is an excuse.

There’s definitely people like that but I also believe people cheat out of selfishness as well. Rather than set their boyfriend/girlfriend free so they can explore their options, they don’t want to lose that person but still hook up with someone else.

Probably lacking something from a relationship that is being given by someone else.

Why cheat on someone if you really loved them? I would think they would want to avoid losing them.

Yeah but when you're not getting something from your partner whether that be emotionally or physically and someone else can give you what you're not getting then it can be tempting.
