Why does my friend try to make her boyfriend hate me?

My friend always stirs the pot between me and her boyfriend. She told him I'm a "druggie" and "wild" and mentally ill which are all lies. Now he hates me. She also told him I talk badly about him when I've never done that. I was literally standing outside her room the other day, and I heard her saying to him "[my name] just said you're a pathetic little b****." Which I never said. And then he came out of their room and shouted at me. She then came out looking pleased with herself.

Why does she do this?
