No. Because 90% of men are already invisible to modern (Western) women, nowadays. The numbers don't lie.

The way for men to "win" nowadays is to stop playing a game rigged against you from the very start. Let's not forget; even Chads pay child support, nowadays!

If you find you a "unicorn" woman (like I did, once), then sure, go ahead and love her fully. Just don't marry her.

Everywhere I've been, even the ugliest, fattest, worst personality guys with addictions, low incomes, no talents, irresponsible addittudes, and low IQs (the guys at the very bottom of the dating pool) are in relationships.

They are married, they have kids, many are happy.

If anything, standards have dropped significantly, women are more slutty, people are less scared of stds or unplanned pregnancies, people aren't willing to wait for sex anymore, people are having kids as teens more, people are settling way more.

Where have you been? I'm talking about western countries - North America, Europe, Australia, etc.

And, yes, those guys can attract women who are 1s, 2s, and 3s who have few options. But I'm talking about the MAJORITY of men, who are AVERAGE.

These are the people I'm talking about - the AVERAGE people, who are the great masses. Yes, there are dirtbags, but those are 1-3s, and they're relatively rare. Let's talk about the MAJORITY.

Is it unreasonable for a man who is a 5 to expect a woman who is a 5? But women who are 5s mostly think they're 8.5s and want men who are 9s and above, and never even glance at men who are 5s and are OFFENDED by the suggestion that they should date a 5.

I don't use the 1-10 thing because I've called "10"s a 1, it really depends on preferences. but people tend to date people of similar attractiveness.

Your "5's can't date 5s" remark however I can say is definitely false, as it at least is saying that a guy who as good looking as the woman he picks, can't get her, and nah dude, thats super common, in fact its the most common outcome actually, more common than anything else, even more common than staying single.

Most men in western countries in general though are pretty ugly because its seen as "manly" to not have basic hygeine and self healthcare standards. "Be tough" they say, "be broken and stand up", "destroy yourself and laugh about it like you're a bulletproof god." Tough guy "alpha male" mentality creates some pretty ugly looking dudes, whether pot bellied or ripped. But most of them are still married or have a girlfriend by mid 20s at the latest.

The "attractive" men are usually refered to as "girly" or "soyboys", but popstar boy bands in the west and eastern culture in general have shown that most women adore that type over the balding rugged fat drunken slob (majority of husbands), or the greasy balding body builder with buldging veins and a micropenis.

Regardless ugly or not, most people date, get laid, have kids, get married, etc. Most people also divorce though.

I do not think people in general are getting more picky, I think they are getting less picky, less patient, and its causing a divorce epidemic.

I would say that maybe polymorous relationships could be a bit more common or accepted to some degree. But most people only have one partner due to it being very hard to manage multiple partners in the same relationship. Or just because being poly isn't for them.

@anonymous I think there is a distinct reality. I currently have multiple women all happy to share me. Women want the top tier guys and reality is there's not enough to go around. Women are already sharing the top men, the only difference is it may be more accepting in next 5 years.
