How do I become "settled" in life, I'm always ln tbe hunt novelty?

I moved back to my home state almost a year ago. Life kinda pushed me out of the state I was living in for the past 6 years, I lived in 2 different cities there. My life became so unbearably uncomfortable I felt it was a sign to move back. Since I moved back, I've had to cut ties with my unhealthy parents and I'm confused as to why God sent me back! I've been here almost a year now, I do not feel settled. I ha e 2 friends back in OR telling me to just move back! It's not as easy as one thinks, I had to sell all my furniture and pack my car to mo e out of that state. Finding a higher paying job after I just left a year ago, I just don't know if I see that happening. I. Frustrated, nothing has happened with being back here a year. Still single going on 6 years now, I've had a few casual friends come and go. I don't want to stay here, also do not know where to go next. HELP

How about hold onto this and say the lord's Prayer every time before you prat AT and TO God. Count it joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. Probably a good place to start would be to gain some sense of purpose in life.

I know that a huge sense of purpose in my own life came from coming into my own as an artist, figuring out that I like to fight people and becoming a lawyer; generally coming to peace with myself.

Are you sure it was God telling you to go back, and not just you idealizing the good memories you have of your home?

Well I say that because "life" became unbearably uncomfortable with one thing after another for close to 2 years. I felt like I could not move fwd there. All of a sudden I got this job here and a lined up.
