How would you feel/react if someone told you they think you're an unkind person?

How would you feel if someone told you that to your face unsolicited?

I consider myself relatively kind, and others have told me that, but someone came up to me the other day and said he's never considered me to be a kind person. I've never done anything mean to this person. It doesn't resonate with me, but I'm a bit upset. How would you feel? Would you take it seriously if someone said that to you?

At the end of the day. can't please anybody. Usually people who say that to me... end up loving me down the line but it's too late for them because they are passing judgements way too early.
At the end of the day this is no concern of mine. It's not in my control and s otl nothing I shouldn't worry about
