Why did he behave this way?

So we were discussing the ways lying can sometimes be morally justified and the guy I like chimed in as he was eavesdropping and he was sitting beside his girlfriend “yeah my dating Shauna is a white lie 😉” (and he winked at me). The whole night he was stealing glances at me. Or walking past me and looking at me. Anyway his girlfriend grabbed his chin and forced a kiss which he seemed vaguely reluctant about. And she was laughing OTT at everything he said. This guy has been flirting with me and teasing me for months and even took my hand in front of her at one point which I don’t believe she saw and started stroking it and looking in my eyes on another occasion. He knows I like him and I just felt it wasn’t a nice comment..

It all depends on you really do you want to be with him yea he’s a flirt by the seem of things…. And what’s not to say he’ll do it again with someone else if you two get together….
But he might stop ….
You never know until it happens….

I e known him a year. We went on one date last year which I didn’t realise was a date and then he kind of took it as a rejection. We’re in the same friendship circle. But I know he’s attracted to me. We were in each other’s orbit for a long time and then associated more and yes he was flirty and would tease me and stare and steal glances before they got together. And has continued the flirting and checking me out even with her, sometimes in front of her. And then he said this in front of her last night and do you think it was unkind given our history..

No single when we went on a date. Yes when he started dating her the flirting continued. Staring, stealing glances etc. No I wouldn’t although he’s the first boy I’ve been attracted to for a long time..

It seems like the best thing you can do is distance yourself from him. I think he's bad news and I don't see a path forward for you. Better to cut ties now before more people get hurt.

I’m sorry but why even pursue him? You’re so stoked about any attention he gives, what if you were his girlfriend? He’d treat you just the same and you’d never trust him. Pick someone available, this is pathetic.

I don’t know but because I’ve fallen for him and can’t stop thinking about him.

Well, maybe you should move on. Like it or not he’s taken, and even if you try brushing off his girlfriend as some bump in the road, show the same respect you’d want another woman to show you if you were in his girlfriend shoes. Keep in mind he’s probably had ample opportunity to get serious with you but chose someone else.
