We don't seek a connection with those who tell us falsehoods, but we do appreciate partners who are considerate in their responses. There are many ways to say the same thing. There is no need to be blunt and harsh.
On the other hand, it's important to be aware of what we ask or avoid asking. Sometimes people fear asking a question if they feel the answer may not be what they want to hear. They prefer seeing what they want to see rather than what actually exists. These people generally aren't prepared for reality when they can no longer avoid it. If a senior asks her partner whether she's the most beautiful partner he's ever had, that's a set up for failure. She may be beautiful in his eyes, but she'll never be as firm and youthful as the girlfriend he had when he was 16. Asking leading questions will generally lead to lies. If a kid comes out of the kitchen with chocolate all over his face, don't ask "Did you get in the cookie jar?" Say, "It looks like someone got into the cookie jar."
People don't want lies from their partner. They also, however, don't want to be told every single truth every single time. Sometimes keeping your mouth shut is a virtue.
I once read on a different site, not this site, it was a different site and not this one; The question was about the Fleetwood Mac song. "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies"
But the question was way too high-brow for that other site that wasn't this site. This site is way more smarter than that other site. As you might imagine, the standard answers from that other site that wasn't this site were:
*If she asks if the jeans make her ass look fat, just tell the truth. *If she wears something you don't think looks nice, just tell her she looks like crap. *If she asks if her soup is good, and it's not, just tell her it tastes like crap.
That site that's not this site, is so full of smart virgins giving advice.
There is, probably. We have billions of people on this earth, surely there is going to be folks that prefer to be told that everything is sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows.

Sort of.
