I've been recently getting obsessed with my wife, thoughts?

Usually I try to ask generic questions for everyone peppered with my own opinion and experiences, but sometimes I want to try and put out a personal issue.

Something I've been going through as of late are sudden bouts of obsessiveness and I admit a degree of possessiveness as well, towards my wife. Don't worry, not to the point that I try to command her or deny her from going out with her friends or work; but more of the like that I enjoy showing her off and have lots of her pictures on my phone, computer and work desk, shower her with gifts (that sometimes she likes, sometimes she's embarrassed); do things for her to make her smile but also getting that chauvinistic satisfaction of thinking that she's the most amazing, intelligent and beautiful woman that I've ever seen, and that she's mine.

She enjoys this, especially since I was quite "cold" in the first years of our relationship and she was the most passionate outwardly, but sometimes I wonder how I - or a man in general - can make such 180" turns.
