Why do females lie and gaslight you?

Me & my girlfriend started off as friends with benefits. I knew her prior in high school but she moved away. She said while she was coming over she was drunk but she’d do things not strictly sexual. I asked her out more than twice but she would laugh it off. I wasn’t gonna be rejected a third time so I just kept it as is. But she started getting jealous asking me if I was seeing other people I knew then it was projection because of what she was doing. It wouldn’t matter either way because we weren’t a couple. I told her if she was with others it’s best to tell me because it’s obvious she wanted a relationship but she kept saying I was the only one. Now years down the line I’ve checked her phone and not out of insecurity but because she has went through mine. I have nothing to hide and if she asks I would give it. Anyway I’ve seen some of her interactions with other men. It looks like she either did the deed with them or was about to. This is at the same time she said we were in a relationship. I asked her when would you say we started this? Just so I could see where her mind was. So she’s lying to me because she doesn’t know that I know her deeds. Crazy thing is I wouldn’t have been upset because we weren’t really together. I’m upset about the lying because now it seems like the relationship was built on lies. I look at her differently and what else comes to mind is. What’s stopping her from doing this right now to me and lying.

she says she hates liars but she is one. Im ready to just act a fool. Why should I be the only honest person here. She’s not about to get a good guy while behaving like the POS men she’s dealt with & complain about.

I’m not putting down anyone every woman doesn’t have a problem with the word female. I try not to say girl because a woman isn’t that anymore I thought that was more disrespectful than female in my opinion.
