Ever since the break-up, my father officially hates my ex boyfriend, normal reaction right?

We were together for 4 years and he broke up weeks ago. I was given the line that even though he loves me, it would be best if we break up for some time, that he wants to focus on his Master's and other things.

Meanwhile my mother still considers him a good guy, my father officially hates him. He became his enemy basically. My mother tries to focus on the good times, how he bought her a good purse for mother's day but my father cut her off by saying ''loser, no good for nothing, wasting our girl's time, I made you my wife in 20 months, not 4 years of BS''.

I guess that's a normal reaction from a father's POV right?

To him, it doesn't matter the reason for the break-up. To him, he has become his enemy now.

Men understand men in a way that we as women will never experience. Your dad has probably felt some type of way about your ex for a long time now, but hasn’t said anything because you opted to stay. I’m sure he’s tried giving you a few pieces of advice as well over the years, and when you keep opting to stay, that’s more motive for him to just mind his business. Now that you two are broken up he feels comfortable making his distaste known and might hope it keeps you away from him for good. If I were you, I’d listen to my father, he knows what’s up.

your dad probably knew what ya boyfriend was up to since ya dad was at your boyfriend's age as well, best you can do is listen to your dad he has been a man for longer than your boyfriend has and your dad can recognize patterns

Yes that's more likely the reason. He requested us to stay as friend but I declined. My father has both taken him out of his FB and blocked him. He's very straight forward when it comes to someone not wanting to be in my life. That person is regarded as his enemy immediately.
