Just something interesting I’ve observed..
Why do some men and women change themselves when they get into a relationship or have a crush on someone?
For e. g., my best friend is a real girly girl normally. I’ve known her since childhood and she’s always been girly, a vegetarian and an atheist. But every time she talks to a new guy, she takes on his personality and transforms into a completely different person. Then after the relationship or talking stage or crush ends, she goes back to her former self again.
For e. g., she’s never been into religion. She’s an atheist. She has a crush on a Christian guy and now she’s religious too, and has changed her social media to posting bible verses and proclaiming her love for Jesus. She’s also started dressing like a hippie which is completely unlike her, and chants religious prayers around her friends. This guy gets up at 4am every morning and now she also gets up at 4am every morning and posts about it.
Is there a reason for this phenomena? Do we just tend to mirror the people we like romantically? Why do some people try to become exactly like the people they date? Is this normal?
