People say men hold the key to relationships?

They are the ones who's job it is to propose to the woman or to ask them to be their girlfriend (usually), or get engaged. Why is that? And WHO made THAT rule? ? !

And what do men (usually) do if and when they get REJECTED from asking their love interest those questions? !

I feel like women are the more desparate gender when it comes to relationships. They are always DESPARATE to be in one because she cares about her status and how society and her girlfriends view her. Women are VERY competitive too just like guys but in different ways maybe! She always wanna be the one to get married first out of her girlfriends, or get engaged first, or have a baby! It's interesting and sad both.

That's because without a proposal from him, things don't go anywhere. If he's just keeping you as a long-term career girlfriend and you then live with him, he's still getting sex, a roommate to enjoy the moment and all the benefits and we gain nothing from that; big deal... nothing changes while he's just a boyfriend.

I'm not desparate, what gave you that idea? If I was IMPATIENT, I'd be around 25 asking this stuff wanting to desprately to find the answer to this. It's just something I noticed throughout my years here on earth, specifically with regards to dating. Stop trying to insinuate things about me, I'd appreciate that.
