I am 25. I had my first school-boyfriend in 5th grade and from that time until now, I have always been in a relationship. I’ve never been single or not talking to someone for longer than a year at a time. I always say I want to be single just to see what the difference would be. It’s weird right? Who chooses to be alone? I have options but I think if I wait it out, I could have the almost-perfect person… I think at my age, I’m maturing and really becoming who I am as a woman so it would be the best time to be alone for a while. Also, I just got out of a relationship two months ago and I always seem to get out of one and end up in another one because I’ll meet a guy and he’ll fall for me quickly then I’ll fall for him. They never want to be just friends, but this time I’m not budging on wanting to be single. I didn’t want to do that this time. I’ve had about 3 real relationships from 5th grade until now at 25 years old and a few talking stages. Has being single benefited any of you? And how do you tell a guy that you like that right now just isn’t the perfect time?

Guy here who was in a relationship for 7,5 years since he was 18. Beeing single is honestly a good experience so far. I dont have to consider anyone and have more time to focus on myself. I tried things like traveling alone and found new self esteem and confidence within me. I study and workout after work, which wouldn't be possible without neglecting my relationship.
I feel like beeing single is a good opportunity to bring in order what always bothered me about myself. When I am happy with myself, I can still consider trying to find someone to share my life with.
