What is a good gift idea for a one year anniversary?

My boyfriend and I will be celebrating one year together in November and I’m kind of stumped on what to get him. I have a few ideas for Christmas etc but I feel like an anniversary gift should be meaningful and special. Any ideas?

I think after one year, his present to you should be an engagement ring. If he doesn't give you that, then you shouldn't be so hard on yourself of what to give him. I don't really know why people celebrate anniversaries for relationships. To me they're pointless, and mainly signals the insecurities of the one that initiates the anniversary celebration (that they're celebrating holding a relationship that long).
