Is the Honeymoon phase a real thing? Have you ever fall for someone who turned out to be a bad person or not as good as you thought they were? A friend boyfriend use to bring bee lunch from work do all of this super romantic stuff but after 7 months it all stopped. Do people really pretend to be someone else during a Honeymoon phase?

Yes, narcissists or abusive people tend to “mask” themselves during the honeymoon period, so that you don’t see how rotten they actually are until you’ve already been together for a while. There’s also instances where during the honeymoon period, you’re blinded by infatuation and lust, so you don’t see how awful the person is that you’re dating until the honeymoon period is over.
I’ve had that happen once. I dated a guy for 5 weeks before realising how horrible he was and cutting off contact.
That's insane what's the longest you dated someone who was toxic? but didn't realize it
3 months.
Decent amount of time
We dated for 3 months and I saw how insane she was by the end of it. I’m glad it was only 3 months since that’s a very short amount of time. I’ve known people who stayed together for about 9 years before realising that their partner is narcissistic or abusive, or just downright insane.
That's crazy as hell at least you got out of it
