How do I confess/get closure with an old crush over snapchat?

i know this sounds really sad and it probably is.

i met her almost 5 years ago in school and liked for 3 years, then moved schools and lost all contact. Back when we were in the same school, we talked relatively frequently, nothing too deep but we had some moments. I didn't do anything back then. I just reconnected with her online and we have been chatting through SnapChat daily, again, nothing too deep. Just about school... ):

I dont wanna go on like this forever. How do I start something or get closure. I feel as thouhg our connection is too surface-level to even begin to get more personal and ask... it would literally be some guy you haven't seen/thought about in years sliding into your DMs and dropping that he likes you outta nowhere.

If you are having actual conversations just confess it! You can always omit the present if you're shy. Heck, ask her how to do it!

"Speaking of the weather, back in xyz I used to have a crush on you." Where is the harm? If you're worried about the fallout you can always deflect ->
"So back when you were cool you were kind of my type. But how do you actually let someone know you're into them in a good way? What's the move?"
It isn't strange conversation, is it? If you distance yourself from it, would it be shocking if someone else said those things?

And that's the general issue. Its okay to like someone and to let them know. Just remember that you decide if it gets weird after, no one else does.

If you are really interested in that person, then you should have the decency to tell her on a face to face conversation and not over social media, text, video chat, email or anything electronically communicated.

She deserves more than just to be informed about something so important through electronic messaging. If she is really so important to you, then make her feel that way and invest a few hours to see her and to talk in person to her.

Not only will it give her the impression that you care but also you let her know that she is worth the time you spent on talking to her.

I know that I would not appreciate to find out something like that through electronic media. It would make me feel cheap. That is not the impression you want to give, is it?

GROW UP! Be a man, get off of snapchat and go find this girl in person and have a live face to face maybe along with a lunch or dinner date where you will spill your guts about your feelings. Good or bad you will have an answer and have done it like a man instead of a stupid ass kid that spends their useless life with their face buried in the front of a cell phone or pad.

"Feelings" shouldn't be something that you "confess," as if having feelings is tantamount to committing a crime. However, to have feelings for someone who you haven't seen in years will most likely be perceived as weird/desperate, and. . . why do you even need to have that discussion now? Why don't you just ask her if she would like to meet you for lunch one day soon, and see what happens when you meet up?

There is no issue with asking a friend out for a coffee. Start there. Then build off of that. Next lunch, dinner or a movie.
It's easy saying to a friend “Hey I want to go see this movie, want to go with me?”
